Thursday Night Trap League


FR&GC will host a recurring weekly Thursday night 90% handicap trap league beginning this fall.

Event: 16 Yard Singles.

When: Begin on September 5, 2019. End not later than November 14, 2019.

Where: FR&GC, 3101 Haislip Pond Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22404.

Length: 9-10 weeks in length dependent upon the final number of teams. Schedule will include a one week ‘shooting pause’ in recognition of Halloween on October 31, 2019.

Shooting Times: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday evenings. First rotations begin at 7:00 PM. Second rotations begin at 8:00 PM. Final weekly shooting schedule will be released prior to Week 1 of the league.

Teams: Five shooters per team. Each team will have a Team Captain.

Targets: 50 targets a week per shooter.

Absences: Substitute shooters or individual Banked Scores will be used.

Early registration is requested for those who wish to team together.

Safety: FR&GC Range and Safety Rules will apply.

Eligibility: Anyone 18 years of age or older. FR&GC membership is not required.

League Fees: Based on the length of the league, but it is envisioned the cost will be $75.00-$80.00 per shooter. League fees will pay for all league targets shot and end of league ‘High Team’ cash award and Reception

Practice Period: 1-hour league practice period available from 6:00-7:00 PM on scheduled league nights.

Practice Fee: $3.00 per 25 targets during the established practice period.

Guns and Ammunition: League shooters will provide their own guns and ammunition. Any 12-gauge shotgun, or smaller gauge shotgun may be used during the league. Shot size larger than 7.5 is not permitted.
